Tara works part time in her role as a Family Support Worker in Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre and enjoys working with children and families. She likes to provide an integrative trauma informed person-centred approach when working with families. Tara holds an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Child & Adolescent psychotherapy from the Children’s Therapy Centre (CTC), Play Therapy (Dip) and is a graduate of UCC with a BA (Early Childhood Studies). Tara is a Trained facilitator in parenting program Circle of Security© and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). Tara enjoys engaging in working with families and children across a variety of different environments and schools.

Mission Statement

The mission of the organisation is to work for social justice by working in solidarity with those who are marginalised to promote self-sufficiency and to break the cycle of poverty. We aim to do this through early intervention and preventative work which is at the core of all our services.

This ethos is based on the principle of providing an accessible community-based service for all who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their lives with particular emphasis on children and families.
