Mental Health Support

Services / Mental Health Support

Our Mental Health Service links the Community with various services e.g counselling and psychotherapy, at an in-house,  local and national level. The service provides emotional support by talking to clients, listening and then making suitable referrals to relevant agencies. The main focus is to encourage individuals to regain good mental health and to help persons in maintaining positive well-being. Some of the supports available include: Individual Work, Group Work, Building Resilience in the Community, Restorative Practice, Caring for Carrigtwohill and Counselling & Psychotherapy services within the Family Resource Centre (low cost). This includes services to children and adolescents, adults and families.

Referrals can be made by the client themselves, GP’s, Schools and other Professionals. Please reach out to our mental health team at supportandwellbeing@carrigtwohillfrc.ie Mon-Fri 9-5.

Mission Statement

The mission of the organisation is to work for social justice by working in solidarity with those who are marginalised to promote self-sufficiency and to break the cycle of poverty. We aim to do this through early intervention and preventative work which is at the core of all our services.

This ethos is based on the principle of providing an accessible community-based service for all who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their lives with particular emphasis on children and families.
