Ask Play Therapists
Play Therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach to help support children in expressing their feelings, to modify behaviour, develop problem solving skills and learn different ways of relating to others. Play is a natural form of expression for children. Play Therapy is for Children aged 3 to 12 years and gives them their own space to explore their lives and freely express repressed thoughts and emotions through play.
Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre offers a low cost play therapy service delivered by students and qualified play therapists.

Mission Statement

The mission of the organisation is to work for social justice by working in solidarity with those who are marginalised to promote self-sufficiency and to break the cycle of poverty. We aim to do this through early intervention and preventative work which is at the core of all our services.

This ethos is based on the principle of providing an accessible community-based service for all who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their lives with particular emphasis on children and families.
