GREG

Greg is Project Coordinator & CEO of the Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre since September 2022 following his retirement as an Officer in the Defence Forces. In his capacity as a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Officer Greg has worked with Missions in both the United Nations and NATO to deliver social infrastructure projects that benefit communities all over the world.

Greg holds a qualification in Command, Leadership and Organisational Studies from Ireland’s Military College and national University of Ireland Maynooth and Certificates in Transformative Mediation Skills, Negotiating Diversity Conflicts and Collaborative Negotiation Skills from the United Nations Training School. Greg qualified in Project Management from UCD Professional Academy in 2023.

Married to Michelle, Greg has two grown-up sons and four grandchildren, has an abiding interest in all sports and a love of literature.

Mission Statement

The mission of the organisation is to work for social justice by working in solidarity with those who are marginalised to promote self-sufficiency and to break the cycle of poverty. We aim to do this through early intervention and preventative work which is at the core of all our services.

This ethos is based on the principle of providing an accessible community-based service for all who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their lives with particular emphasis on children and families.
