Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Support Group

Services / Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Support Group

“Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety”.

Mission Statement

The mission of the organisation is to work for social justice by working in solidarity with those who are marginalised to promote self-sufficiency and to break the cycle of poverty. We aim to do this through early intervention and preventative work which is at the core of all our services.

This ethos is based on the principle of providing an accessible community-based service for all who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their lives with particular emphasis on children and families.
